January 20, 2008 That's right! It's a new year. I survived my vacation to Wisconsin and was able to work off the Butterburgers I oh so enjoyed while I was home. It was also great to ride the GB Packers wave up until this point right now. What a great season. To survive the severe depression, I turn to old videos to cheer me up. Not many of you know I had a career as a freestyle artist before I turned to Television Editing. I was in a hot group in Milwaukee during the early 00's called Sliced White Bread. This was our hit music video that knocked Milwaukee's socks off. December 13, 2007 So, it's been almost two months since I have updated this page. I'm sure many of you are far into your withdrawel period. First, I want to thank all of you for your support and getting this site over 1,000 unique hits. Each time someone new checks out my website it adds a hit to the counter. Thanks for all of that. I have been busy working on the 4th Season of Criss Angel: Mindfreak as an Assistant Editor. The show and the post production team are awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity. It's an amazing family to be a part of. This season is going to be pretty spectacular. I went to "The Blue Hour" premiere in early November. It is such a beautiful film. To have the opportunity to watch all of your hard work on the big screen is indescribable. The film actually won the 'Best Director' award at the Film Festival. Congratulations to Eric Nazarian for that. I got to see some peeps whom I hadn't seen in a year and catch up and laugh about the good times on set. I got to where I am only a year later thanks to many of those folks. I appreciate every friendship I made through that film. I hope to work on another feature sometime in the near future. I spent Thanksgiving in Lake Tahoe with great friends. It was so nice to be able to spend it with people who are close to me. Otherwise I would have been in one of the biggest cities on the planet alone. That is never fun, but it is better than working third shift as a news cameraman on holidays. My Thanksgiving was filled with great views of nature, a little history, tasty food and amazing friends. I now have a surround sound system for my studio thanks to Target's Black Friday sales. Thanks Target! My friend is a very talented singer/songwriter and finally has a myspace page up for her music. You should all go check her out and give her your support. Add her as a friend, listen to the sweet tunes and leave some feedback. She'll be playing in and around Los Angeles soon so keep an eye out. Check her site at: www.myspace.com/kirstenmooremusic Matt Denman is coming up to Los Angeles this weekend and we are going to brainstorm new ideas for another music video. It should be a good time all around. Last but not least, I will be gracing Wisconsin with my presence come the 23rd of December until the 4th of January. There will be great times had by all and many a Spotted Cow drank. I can't wait to get back and continue where we left off. p.s. - I have new button color designs. Does anyone want one? Email me at jdraimer@hotmail.com October 19, 2007 Hello internet people! I am happy to say that my videos are up on my video page so please click on the link and take a look at my videos old and new! The featured video is a TimeLapse I shot during my drive from Los Angeles to Marina, CA to visit my friend Matt Denman. Also, the film I worked on last year that stars Alyssa Milano is going to be having it's US Premiere in Hollywood on Saturday, November 3rd. I am very excited to see what people are up to these days and also to see the movie I worked so hard on. It's called "The Blue Hour" and you can check out the website here: www.thebluehourmovie.com October 03, 2007 I just got a new phone a couple days ago. Please look at the banner to the left for my new contact information. Thanks. New videos coming soon. I timelapsed my trip to and from the Central Coast. The video should be interesting. Check back soon and change my listing in your phone books! September 24, 2007 I am doing some construction on my video page. There will be a ton more videos coming soon. September 20, 2007 Yesterday was an odd day for Los Angeles. We actually had rain clouds. I decided to take advantage of this rare occurrence and shoot a timelapse. It turned out pretty awesome, but I will let you decide for yourself. Check it out. TOOK VIDEO DOWN FOR CONSTRUCTION September 6, 2007 Wow! Where has the time gone? I have been pretty busy and haven't been able to update the website often. Hopefully, you all have checked out the Matt Denman - "Superstition" video because it is awesome! I am trying to learn how to create a better website. Please stay tuned for that. Matt Denman - "Superstition" TOOK VIDEO DOWN FOR CONSTRUCTION July 12, 2007 Hope all of your Independence Days were as great as mine. Brews, skyflowers and good company. Who can ask for more!? Sorry about the crappy facebook picture links. It figures, facebook would! I'll have them up on photobucket soon and add some links here. I did some updating to my resume page and I'm working on my video page. All of the Windows Media files should play on all computers now. Plus, you can download the videos. I will be adding plenty of more videos and I'm going to change up the style of the page a little bit. I just finished a editing my friends wedding video and am working on Authoring the DVD next. I am also finishing up a music video for Matt Denman that some of you may have seen rough cuts of but the final should be sweet. I also have a little video I am doing for the Portage Relay For Life after I get caught up with my other projects. Crap, late for work. Gotta get going. Check back for more later! July 4, 2007 HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!! Light off some fireowrks for me because it is a bad idea to light off flying fire projectiles in the dry hills of Hollywood! I posted this on my myspace but I will post it here for anyone who hasn't seen it. Hello Friends, I have returned back to the city of Angels. Thank you all who came out to the Brewer Game and the Short Horror Film Screening. Thanks to everyone who made an effort to at least come see me in Milwaukee or Portage. I got to see so many of you that mean so much to me. You are my family! It will be some time before I return as I am trying to make my way further into the TV and Film world. So all of you need to make a trip out to Beautiful Southern California! I took plenty of pictures and posted them on my Facebook account. Thankfully, anyone can now browse my pictures even though they are not Facebook members. So, click on the links below to gander at what could possibly be the best vacation in Wisconsin ever! I know a bunch of you have awesome photos and I would like to see them. Get them on the internet and let me know where they are. Thanks again to everyone for coming out and hanging with me. I love you all and you will never be forgotten. Hopefully, a yearly bash will become tradition. Family, Friends, Beer, Cheese, Frolf, Film Screenings, Music and Amazing Good Times is all a guy could ask for! Hope to see you all again soon. Until then, we have the interweb! Keep on keeping on people!! Peace, JD Raimer VACATION PICTURES! CHECK THEM OUT: Summer Vacation - Harvey Wedding Summer Vacation - Milwaukee Part 1 In about 12 hours I will be in my old stomping grounds. Portage, Wisconsin you better be ready! It says it is raining there. I haven't seen a real rainfall in 10 months. It's not something I miss very much. I am ready to see my friends and family! Let's do this! I'll return to the angel city July 2. Hopefully, I'll be able to return to The Pussycat Dolls Season 2. Oh yeah! I was on the game show "Camouflage" on GSN and they will begin airing episodes July 2 at 7:30PM every weekday for the whole month. I think I will be on in the beginning of the run. I can't say how I did but you'll have to check the show. It was a real close one! Peace Where The North Begins June 5, 2007 What's up kiddies!? Thank you for bringing in over 600 hits on my measly little website. I have buttons now that promote my website so if you would like one let me know by e-mail or any of the many social network websites I am a member of. They are awesome! This Friday is the opening of Hostel: Part II. I am so excited. Plus, it is playing at the Arclight Cinemas which have the best theaters in town!! I just got done working on a reality show pilot that I hope goes to series, so I can hopefully land a job and continue to live in LA! Only one week until my Gameshow taping! Wish me luck. There will be flyers later but I thought I would advertise here first for our Short Film Triple Header Screening at The Landmark Lanes Back Room on Wednesday June 27th, 2007 @ 8PM! There is a $3 donation to cover expenses of bringing you these amazingly awesome horror shorts by your favorite director and mine, Sam Thompson! If you wear a jdraimer.com button, I will buy you a Pabst Blue Ribbon. How do you get a button? Contact me or show up to the Brewer game on Tuesday and you will recieve one there! Now, for some more selfless promotion. I recently visited my friend Matt Denman in Monterey, CA which is located on the Central Coast of California. If you are looking for beautiful nature you can find it there! It was an amazing journey. Now, I didn't just visit Matt Denman. I shot a music video for his song Superstition. It is still not finished but I did leak it onto his page and eventually word spread through Matt's bulletin. So, since some of you have seen it and some have not, either watch it again or for the first time. It will only be up for a little longer while I touch up some edits and upload the finished video. Enjoy! May 24, 2007 The good news keeps pouring in! I found out yesterday that my sister is going to have another baby! And with my other sister pregnant that means four crazy little ones by the end of this year. Wow! My oldest sister was in LA for a conference yesterday so we went out to dinner. It turns out we sat in a booth right next to Adam Sandler and Allen Covert (Grandma's Boy) Adam was really nice and talked to anyone who wanted to chat or say hi. I didn't have my camera and I refuse to bother celebrities with cell phone pix, so no picture. It sucks. I'll see him again sometime. Last but not least, I was accepted to be a contestant on a new Game Show Network show called Camouflage! I am going to win some moolah because no one can beat me! I rule at this game and I'm excited to be a contestant on TV. Now, I need a job so if you are an employer, please call me! I'll keep you all updated whether you like it or not! Peace. May 23, 2007 The Fangoria Weekend of Horrors was amazing. I got to meet a bunch of young horror filmmakers and listen to a bunch of panels. I got to meet Eli Roth, which was fantastic. I got a ton of free stuff including big Hostel: Part 2 posters. It was a very inspiring experience. I cannot wait to work on another horror movie! My stint at Split Ends comes to an end this week. So somebody please hire me! I need to work on something. It's tough because you never know when a job will come your way. Let's hope it's soon. It looks like we are in the works on putting together a short film screening in Milwaukee in late June. We haven't got any specifics yet but we are trying to have it in a bar and it will premiere Sam's new Werewolf short!
May 17, 2007 I officially have the title of Assistant Editor for "Split Ends: Season 2" which is amazing! That's good progress. A whole series run as an AE makes me very happy. I am going to the Fangoria Convention in Burbank this Saturday. I am going to meet Eli Roth, Director of Cabin Fever, Hostel and Hostel: Part 2. Damn, I am excited to meet him, get a picture and hopefully get a Hostel: Part 2 poster. I love LA! More to come!? I'll let you know. May 9, 2007 It smells like a bonfire in my neighborhood this morning. For the second time in a couple months a hill within one mile of my apartment has had a brushfire. This time it seems more serious. This brush fire is in Griffith Park, a huge area with a zoo, auditoriums, golf courses, hiking trails and many beautiful areas. It has only rained five or so times since I moved out here 8 months ago. That's insane, it is so dry. I have a feeling we're in for a long wildfire season. I'll be back in Wisconsin late in June. It's time for Brewers Baseball, BBC Burgers, Disc Golf, Spotted Cow, Summerfest, Crazy Ben's 4th of July Weekend Party, Fireworks, Turkey Legs, Cheese Curds, Oakland Gyros, Friends and Family. I have started to post New Old Videos on my YouTube so mosey on over and check those out. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep uploading more. Keep an eye out! April 20, 2007 Good day to you all! Just to celebrate a little bit I have a special offer for all of you who have yet to see with your own eyes "UNSETTLED: World's Only Zombies vs. Pilgrims" movie! I was in the mob as Number 99 but unfortunately I did not win any money! Stupid Paul Revere! Well, I hope you enjoy. ~Took the video down temporarily. Look for it sometime in the future on Youtube~ March 25, 2007 Sorry to the millions of my fans out there that I have not been updating my website often. I just got done working three weeks for a reality show for the Style Network. We have a week off then on to more shows. Hopefully three more weeks. Getting paid to work out here is a great feeling. It means I can pay my rent and stay in LA that much longer. Thanks to some nasty flu virus I spent last week "cleansing" my body and feeling like dying. I did lose some weight though. Things are staring to take place here in LA. I am getting work and hopefully soon I will be able to land a job as an Assistant Cameraman and continue up the ladder. I think I am going to look into how to get funding for an idea and get paid to write a script. I think it is easy to gain interest in an idea but it is getting the idea to the right people that will be the hard part. When you have people like Sam Thompson on your side anything can and will happen. Check out his latest review for his amazing short Urine Trouble. I'm working on getting back to Wisconsin around the last couple weeks of June. Start organizing the parade because we're going to party. March 1, 2007 And February is over. That went pretty past. Working on a documentary, PA-ing on a dating reality show, working on a film, meeting Scarface from "Half Baked", The Oscars (I didn't go but the hype in this town was crazy) and being able to Disc Golf all year round. It was a good month. I am working on another reality show that is like wife swap but with trendy hairdressers. It should be a good time. Let's hope March is a good month. And everyone go out and see Reno 911: Miami. Peeing of the pants is mandatory! Peace. February 9, 2007 I'm getting a couple hits each day on my website so that is a good start. But what's even better is I put Sam Thompson's Mullet-Mentary on http://www.collegehumor.com about a week ago and it recieved about 6,000 views since then. The internet is an amazing medium. Over 6k people have had the pleasure to see the highest concentration of Mullets in the world. I worked a reality show the other day which turned out to be a 15 hours workout, which I needed. But video equipment is heavy stuff and we had to move a LOT of it. I have to work the same show at the same place with the same amount of moving on Tuesday. The editing for the Pablo Ferro documentary is going well. I am in at such an early stage of the post production that I am allowed to have a lot of input. It's a good job that will get even better. I have to get back to doing some home editing so I will leave you with the soon to be world famous Mullet-Mentary.
February 1, 2007 Today has turned out to be a good day. I am happy to say that I am going to be a part of an awesome documentary. I am going to assist in the editing of a documentary about Pablo Ferro. Many of you have never heard of him but have seen his work. He is a famous title designer with over 100 movies under his belt who has done everything from Dr. Strangelove to The Addams Family to Napolean Dymomite! I am excited because I am granted a bunch of creative freedom with something I have always wanted to do. Here is a promo video to give a little example of its style. January 29, 2007 Most of you have already heard of this since most people that read this (I hope some people read this) live in Southeastern Wisconsin or have lived there. It was brought to my attention earlier today by Steve Wanke that I could have possibly been the beginning of the demise of CBS Channel 58! I was at one time a live truck operator for the CBS affiliate. After my move to Los Angeles I believe they replaced my position with a new live truck operator. And this is what happens! Welcome to today. It's raining in LA! I'm not used to all this crazy weather. Just kidding. I thought I would upload and share a video that is very dear to me. This is a music video a kid at MATC made that makes every W.E.E.K.E.N.D. that much sweeter. Enjoy.

I have spiffed up the updates page and links pages. I hope it all looks good on your computers. I am here to leak a video that I shot a couple months ago. As some of you know, I got to meet most of the Jackass guys. It was a good time. Here is the video that goes along with the pictures in my myspace blog.
Well, I have been inspired by some of the website out there to make a couple changes. So, I will be working on updating the update page. A Lee Harvey Oswald Conspiracy Files show on Discovery may distract me. There is a huge hole in the wall on the opposite side of my shower head where the building maintenance fixed an internal leak that was destroying the apartment below. So, the leak is fixed but the hole is not! That is my story. Go rent Saw 3, it's incredibly disturbing! And if you heven't played a Nintendo Wii yet. Go find someone who has one!
Peace

The deed is done. Now onto basic updates. I have successfully uploaded all of my videos onto the page. If you cannot see them, I don't know what to do for you.
You all should check out some of my friends in my links section. If you like blood, zombies and Killer Urinal Cakes go check out my good friend Director Sam Thompson. Also, if you're looking for some great Mid-Western jams go check out the Snailish Records page.
As with most things I am very ambitious right now with this website. But I will not steer from my goal. I am looking to get into the film business. Just like this guy:

Today I have accomplished a pretty wild task. This is my amazing website that I created. It was a long grueling task but it is finally here. I know, you can hardly contain yourself, but we need to all keep calm. I have had enough with myspace.com and youtube.com being my outlets. Thisw website is for anyone who knows me but mainly it is for my video production. I need employers to easily be able to come and check out my resume and demo videos. Many of the people I know have already seen all my videos but go check them out again. I am going to stop writing and go back to creating more visually stimulating pages. Peace.

This is the day that I jump into the world of internet website owners.
